The heirloom Jarrahdale winter squash stole my heart this fall. With its slate gray/green skin and deep-ribbing, I fell hard before they even ripened. But when I opened the top and baked soup inside for a pre-Thanksgiving treat, I knew this was notjust an autumn fling.
